Dianne Delores (Boyer) Simmons of Houston, Texas was called home on March 17, 2017 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Dianne was born to Joseph Boyer and Antoinette (Perry) Boyer on August 20, 1945 in Malone, New York. She graduated Oneida High School and moved to San Antonio Texas. Dianne was later married to Jerry Simmons for 14 years. She moved with her family from San Antonio to Houston where she worked for BP/Amoco/IBM for many years before retiring.
Dianne will be remembered for her artistic gifts and giving spirit. She had a discerning eye for beautiful things and was very generous to those around her. She loved to travel and walking on the beach to look for shark teeth was a favorite past time. She enjoyed painting and collecting antiques. Dianne had many lifelong friendships that brought her happiness throughout the years.Dianne was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Star (Boyer) Pomerleau.She is survived by two sons, Frank (Amy) Simmons of Polo, Illinois and Jeffery (Mary) Simmons of Kingwood, Texas along with three grandchildren, Maxwell and Mya Simmons of Polo and Logan Simmons of Kingwood, her brother Kenneth (Kathy) Boyer of Las Vegas, Nevada as well as many nieces and nephews.
Dianne requested that no service be held in lieu of a private family gathering. Dianne supported numerous charities during her lifetime and the family has asked that anyone wishing to honor Dianne’s memory to please make a monetary donation to their local SPCA in her name.
