Dear Classmates,

We read a post on Facebook by Byron Harrington that his father Chuck passed away. Arrangements are through Campbell-Dean Funeral Home in Oneida. Services will be this Thursday (June 23). Calling hours will be 11-1 and the funeral will be at 1. Please see Campbell-Dean's web site for more detail. Obituary has not been posted at this time.

CHARLES HARRINGTON OBITUARY

VERONA - Charles L. Harrington, 77, Carpenter Road, died Friday, June 17, 2022, in the Colonial Nursing Home, Rome, where he had been a resident for the past two months.Born in Oneida on April 9, 1945, he was the son of Orla and Mabel Spoon Harrington. A lifelong resident of this area, Charles was a graduate of Oneida High School, Class of 1963, Mohawk Valley Community College and received his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Poly Tech. He married Rebecca Relyea in Durhamville, on July 15, 1972.Prior to his retirement, Charles was a program coordinator with the Rescue Mission of Syracuse and previously had been employed with the Diemolding Corporation for over twenty years. He was a fifty-year member of the Masonic Lodge # 814 F&AM, the National Rifle Association, the North American Club and enjoyed fishing, gardening, making his own lures, tending to his vegetables and fruit trees and bee keeping.Surviving besides his wife, Becky, are his daughter, Lorrie (Timothy) Hill of Henrietta; his two sons, Byron D. Harrington of Fayetteville, NC and Aaron S. Harrington of Cortland; his sister, Marcia (William) Gilbert of San Antonio, TX; his brother, Paul (Lois) Harrington of Florida; brother-in-law, Don Bright of Midlothian, VA; his three grandchildren, Nicole, Kiersten and Makayla Hill; and several niecesand nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Janet Bright on June 10, 2022.Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Thursday, from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Reverend Neal Coe officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home, 11 AM- 1 PM, Thursday. So sorry to hear about Chuck's passing. It's so sad to lose a classmate. My thoughts and prayers are for his family's loss.

My deepest condolences about Chuck's passing.  I remember him as just a nice guy.  As with most other classmates I have lost touch with so many.
