Sherrill-Ronald A “RB” ”Uncle B” “Uncle RB” Belcher Sr. 75, of 116 East Noyes Blvd Sherrill, NY passed away after a lengthy illness at Oneida City Hospital in the ICU.RB was born as Raymond Ashley on May 8th, 1945 and was adopted by Floyd and Mary LaRock Belcher shortly after.On June 21, 2008 RB married Carrie Hilts in Sherrill NY. Their pets Seger, Thumper, Jersey and Fluff were their children. RB retired from Oneida LTD after 41 long years of dedication. He graduated from Oneida City High School in 1964. RB loved bowling, golfing, playing in “The over 30 Softball League”, and mostly playing Cribbage. He was a lifetime member of the Sherrill Post 230 S.A.L. He was a lifetime member of the Sherrill Bums Club, and a past member of the Oneida Owls Club. He was involved in the Sherrill Kids Fishing Derby for many years. RB was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees, New York Giants, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Nascar’s Mark Martin.RB was known as the dog treat man in Sherrill. He was famous for riding around on his scooter with a variety of treats. The neighborhood dogs and cats would wait daily for him to come and give them treats.Surviving is his wife Carrie of 12 years and their children Jersey and Fluff, mother in law Ellen Hilts and her companion Arthur ”Butch” Walker of Camden, NY , daughter Jennifer (Jon) Herrman and their children Jon “JB” and Erika of Oneida, NY, sister in law Lisa (Dan) Brown and their children Jacob, Colton, and Hayley of Florence, NY, a special cousin David Gifford of Myrtle Beach, SC, two aunts Rena Keiser of Myrtle Beach, SC and Francis LaJuette of FL, several cousins, and many special friends that were family and a son Ronald A Belcher JR of Florida.Keeping with RB’s wishes he was cremated and no calling hours or funeral will be held.
