Jane Barclay Obituary

Jane (Chariton) Barclay, age 78, of Scituate, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 13, 2023 following a brief illness.Jane was the daughter of the late John and Alice Chariton of Oneida, NY. She was born and raised in Oneida.Jane enjoyed taking courses in accounting and computer science. She married her beloved Jim in 1964. They moved to six different states before settling and making their forever home in Scituate in 1974.She found great joy in tending to her beautiful home and yard and took immense pride in caring for her rose garden. She enjoyed capturing precious family moments through her beautiful photographs and videos affectionately naming her creative work December 26 Productions. Boating in and around Scituate became a cherished pastime.One of her greatest joys was the care she devoted to her seven grandchildren.Jane was the devoted wife of the late James (Jim) Edward Barclay of Scituate; loving mother of Sean Barclay and Kerri (Russell) Barclay of Denver, CO, Kimberly (Barclay) Brown and Todd Brown of Scituate and Adam Barclay and Rachel (Cavanagh) Barclay of Scituate; proud grandmother of Tyler, Jack and Keiran Barclay of Denver, Reese and Ryan Brown of Scituate and Sam and Will Barclay of Scituate.Words of comfort can be left at www.richardsongaffeyfuneralhome.com https://www.lastingmemories.com/jane-c-barclay

So very shocked, sad and sorry to hear this news, Jane was so bubbly and full of life, Many prayer go out to her and her family at this time.

So sorry to hear about her passing!!

We had some great times in school. She was always in a good mood and lots of fun.  Spent lots of time at the beach in the summerII RIP my friend!
